Shenzhen — Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus will officially unveil its next flagship models, the OnePlus 15 and the OnePlus Ace 6 (likely branded as the 15R globally) on October 27, 2025, in China.
At the core of both devices is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, built on a cutting-edge 3 nm process architecture designed to deliver improved performance and power efficiency. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset powers the OnePlus 15, while the Ace 6 will feature the first-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite variant.
Early benchmark leaks show the Ace 6 achieving multi-core scores around 9,440 on Geekbench, surpassing the previous OnePlus 13 in performance. The device is expected to offer up to 16 GB of RAM and run on Android 16 right out of the box.
OnePlus has also confirmed several innovations in thermal and performance management. The Glacier Cooling System and triple-chip solution—including dedicated chips for networking and touch response—aim to deliver better gaming stability and seamless connectivity. The phone will reportedly pack a 7,800 mAh battery and a 165 Hz refresh-rate display, making it one of the most powerful flagships in its class.
While the China launch is set for October 27, a global rollout is expected by mid-November. The global variant, likely the OnePlus 15R, will carry similar specifications with minor design or camera tweaks suited for international markets.
This launch represents a major leap in OnePlus’s hardware strategy. By introducing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, OnePlus is positioning itself directly against premium Android flagships. The combination of raw performance, large battery capacity, and improved cooling technology could make these phones a compelling choice for power users and gamers alike.
For Indian users, the new lineup is particularly exciting. The OnePlus 15 series is expected to arrive soon after the China debut, bringing the latest Qualcomm technology and flagship features at a competitive price point.
Bottom line: The arrival of the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 series underscores OnePlus’s renewed focus on delivering cutting-edge performance and user-centric design. With faster processing, enhanced cooling, and a high-refresh display, these phones are poised to challenge other premium brands in 2025’s smartphone race.
