Mumbai, 19 August 2025 — Tata Motors has upgraded its popular compact electric SUV Punch.ev, adding faster-charging capability, new colour options and enhanced battery efficiency in a bid to strengthen its position in India’s rapidly-growing EV market.
According to the company, the updated Punch.ev will now be available in two additional shades — Supernova Copper and Pure Grey — aimed at appealing to younger urban buyers.
The vehicle continues to offer two battery configurations:
- 25 kWh Mid-Range variant with a claimed range of 315 km
- 35 kWh Long-Range variant capable of up to 421 km on a single charge
The Long-Range version now supports 1.2C fast-charging, enabling the vehicle to gain approximately 90 km of range in just 15 minutes when connected to a 50 kW DC charger.
Ex-showroom pricing for the updated Punch.ev starts at ₹9.99 lakh and goes up to ₹14.44 lakh, depending on the variant and features selected.
Tata Motors said in a statement that the improvements are intended to “offer greater convenience and flexibility to first-time EV buyers” and make the Punch.ev “more practical for both daily commuting and short inter-city travel”.
Industry analysts believe the refreshed model will intensify competition in the sub-₹15 lakh EV segment, which has seen growing demand over the last 12 months.
